A small and showy evergreen shrub highly valued for its large trusses of vibrant red flowers that contrast beautifully with the dark green foliage on distinctive red stems. Thrives in cooler regions. Very effective as an accent plant or a background plant in perennial beds, or in mass plantings and hedges.
