Spikes of violet-blue flowers on striking purple-black stems rise above the contrasting gray-green leaves. Especially effective in mass plantings, but also nice for mixed borders and containers. A great fresh or dried cut flower. An herbaceous perennial.

Care Instructions
Provide enriched, well-drained soil. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency, once established. Cut back to 3 inches above soil line and apply fertilizer before new spring growth begins. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous bloom.
