Planting and growing a Seaside Serenade Newport hydrangea starts with finding the right location. This shrub will do best in partial sun and needs evenly moist and well-drained soil. Your Newport hydrangea will be more strongly blue and purple in acidic soils, more pink-purple in alkaline soils.
These hydrangeas grow to be about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide, with a sturdy dense form. As with any plant, make sure you give your hydrangea space to grow to its full size
To plant, dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide, carefully place the plant in, and backfill the hole with soil.
