This new dwarf variety is an easy choice for edging, mass planting, or containers. Large flower clusters emerge from clumps of strap-like, green foliage on tall, slender stalks, with creamy white buds that open to reveal gorgeous bicolored trumpet-shaped flowers of pure white and dark blue. May remain evergreen in milder winter climates.

Agapanthus x 'AMBIC001' comes from a breeding program in Johannesburg, South Africa, conducted by DeWet Aloe Farm in Linbro Park. It is the result of a 2nd generation cross between siblings of a previous cross of Agapanthus praecox subsp. orientalis and A. campanulatus. It was selected for its moderate size, vigorous habit and exceptionally long bloom season. It received U.S. Plant Patent #25,519 in May 2015. A new Monrovia limited release offering for 2017.
