Tall spikes of tubular, star-like, orange-red flowers with yellow throats are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Flower spikes appear on long stems above green, grass-like foliage. Makes an excellent cut flower and adds dramatic impact to a hot, sunny border. Herbaceous perennial.
