A profusion of bright red berries fall through winter is assured because a male pollenizer is planted in the same container as the fruiting female. The x meserveae species is the hardiest of the hollies with glossy, blue-green leaves and purple stems. Ideal as a landscape accent, or planted in groups as a dense hedge or screen. Evergreen.
