Intriguing herb often grown as a houseplant, with deep green foliage and small white flowers. Ideal for kitchen garden, raised beds or containers. A much used substitute for sugar - said to be 30 times sweeter - the leaves are often dried and ground but can also be plucked and used fresh. Tender perennial; in mild climates often becomes more fully branched in its second season.
LIGHT: Full sun
WATER: Water when top 2 inches of soil is dry.
SIZE: Fast grower to 18 to 24 in. tall, 18 in. wide.
