A graceful, compact tree with a vase-shaped canopy. Clusters of purple, sweet pea-like blooms in spring. Small, lightly crinkled, heart-shaped leaves have interesting yellow fall foliage. An excellent specimen plant. Deciduous.

WATER: Water when top 3 inches of soil is dry.
SIZE: Moderate grower to 6 to 8 ft. tall and 8 to 10 ft. wide.
