Deeply cut, serrated foliage emerges emerald green, then matures to a brilliant dark purple. Long, slender, pink-tinted, creamy white, fragrant flower spikes tower above the foliage in the fall. A standout in the shaded border, woodland or cottage garden. An herbaceous perennial.
