A natural drought-resistant component of wild and woodland gardens for weed control and around the edges of landscape boulders. Looks lovely spreading out in Asian-style gardens beneath shrubs that have lost their lower leaves.
Flower Color Yellow
Foliage Color Green
Companion Plants Witch Hazel (Hamamelis); Azalea (Azalea); Fern (Asplenium); Clethra (Clethra); Lily of the Valley Shrub (Pieris)
CARE
Care Prefers humusy, lightly acidic, well-drained soil. Space 3 to 4 ft. apart as groundcover; closer for faster coverage. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates dry shade. Apply a controlled-release fertilizer in spring. Spreads along surface by stolons.
