Large, graceful fronds that resemble ostrich plumes. An excellent fern for woodland gardens and damp areas such as edging around a pond. Thrives in the hot, humid South where normal Ostrich Ferns fear to tread. Spreads slowly by underground rhizomes. An herbaceous perennial.
LIGHT: Filtered sun, Full shade, Partial shade
WATER: Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
SIZE: Foliage clumps reach 4 to 7 ft. tall, 3 to 5 ft. wide; slowly spreads.
