Each year, Monrovia offers college students the opportunity to work in production and to learn from our experienced Craftsmen. We are accepting applications for the spring and summer internship program at three locations: Visalia, California; Dayton, Oregon; and Cairo, Georgia.
qualifications
- Self-motivated individuals majoring in Ornamental Horticulture or related fields.
program
- This is a hands-on-experience!
- Work assignments, while varied, will be performed in areas of the greatest need at the time, including all aspects of production such as propagation, shipping, research, canning, assembling of orders, staking and tying, pruning and spacing and sales.
- Time is also scheduled for field trip instruction and in-house seminars that provide further insights into the business.

- The program is quite flexible to meet the needs of individual interns.
- The Spring Program: March to June (11 weeks).
- The Summer Program: June to August (9 weeks).
- Our scheduled work week is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Housing and transportation are arranged and paid for by the intern.
